Welcome to Wiggle’s Privacy Statement (the "Policy"). This Policy explains how and with whom we collect, store, protect, and share your information. We recommend reading this alongside our Terms of Use (“Terms”), as together this Policy and Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between Wiggle and the User (“you”, “your”).
At Wiggle, your privacy is at the heart of how we design and develop the services and products you know and enjoy, so that you can have complete confidence in them and concentrate on forming meaningful connections. When you provide us with your information, we recognize the trust you place in us, and we do not take this casually.
We collect information about you while you're using the Wiggle App (including the desktop version) ("App"), our websites and microsites or our digital products and services (such as our competitions or surveys) (collectively referred to in this Privacy Statement as our "Service"). In addition, you may use the App or Sites to share information with other Users, including your acquaintances and contacts. Occasionally, we may also need to share your information and we offer complete disclosure of these aspects through this Policy.
We value the fact that you entrust us with your information, and we intend to uphold that trust at all times. This begins with ensuring that you comprehend the information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the options you have regarding your information. This Policy describes our privacy practices in straightforward language, with minimal legal and technical jargon.
A pre-condition to use of Service is by accepting this Privacy Policy. Your use of Wiggle App and Website signifies your consent of our privacy practices. If you do not agree with any aspect of this Policy, we highly recommend that you stop using our Service with immediate effect.
About Us
Local Le Swued (hereinafter, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is the owner and proprietor of Wiggle App and Website and collectively the Services being offered to you. We act as the data controller of the personal information collected and processed through the Wiggle App and Website.

Information that we collect
When you download the Wiggle App and create a User Account, we collect certain registration information about you, such as:
- Name (First name and Last name)
- Date of Birth
- Email Address
- Mobile Number
- Gender Identity
- Sexual Preference (Optional)
- Photographs
- Location
- Login Information for social media accounts that you connect to you User Account (optional)
*You will also be required to setup a password as part of the Account registration process. You can review and modify this information at any time by logging in to Wiggle (with the exception of your location, which is automatically updated based on the location of your device if you have granted Wiggle access to your location in your device settings) or by contacting Wiggle's Customer Support Team. You are responsible for ensuring that your account information is always accurate.
Payment Information. When you subscribe to a paid service or make a purchase directly from us (rather than through a platform such as iOS or Android), you provide us with purchase-related information and our payment processors with information such as your debit or credit card number or other financial information.
Promotional or Marketing sign-ups. When you choose to participate in our promotions, events or contests, we collect the information that you use to register or enter.
Feedback/Customer Care. If you contact our customer care team, we collect the information you give us during the interaction.
Your Content uploaded on Wiggle. We may also process your chats with other Users as well as the content you publish to operate and secure the services, and to keep our community safe and to ensure that you adhere to the Community Guidelines.
Events signed up for. We may collect information on the events that you are attending and share this information with other Users of Wiggle.
Automatically collected information
When you use our services, we collect information about the features you've accessed, how you've accessed them, and the devices you use to access them. See below for specifics.
- Usage Information. Using the Services generates data about your activity on our Services, for instance how you use them (e.g., when you logged in, features you've been using, actions taken, information shown to you, referring webpages address and ads that you interacted with) and your interactions with other members (e.g., members you connect and interact with, and when you matched and exchanged messages with them).
- Device Information. We collect information from and about the device(s) you use to access our services, including hardware and software information such as IP address, device ID and type, apps settings and characteristics, app crashes, advertising IDs (which you can reset by accessing your device's settings and, in some cases, disable completely), and identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that may uniquely identify a device or browser.
- When you visit our Sites or use our App, we may automatically collect personal information about you using cookies or similar technologies. A cookie is a small text file that can be placed on a user's computer or web browser to enable us to recognize and remember them. Additionally, we may use analogous technologies (e.g., web beacons, pixels, SDKs) to identify you and/or your device(s).
Why we collect this information?
We use your information primarily to deliver and enhance our services. In addition, we use your information to ensure your safety and the safety of our community, as well as to provide you with advertising that may be of interest to you. - To improve the services, it is necessary to comprehend how members typically utilize them (for instance, based on how members react to a given feature, we may decide to change its appearance or substantially alter it); and
- Create novel functions and services (for instance, we may decide to develop a new interest-based feature in response to member requests)
- To comply with our Terms of Service and prevent, detect, and fight fraud and other illegal/unauthorized/unsolicited activities
- Find and address ongoing, suspected, or alleged violations of our Terms of Service, particularly through the examination of member reports and interactions;
- To ensure that Wiggle remains a safe-space for its community of Users;

- Verify and authenticate any complaints addressed by other Users or violations and generally follow-up on them with a motive to resolve them.

Lawful Basis of Data Collection
Wiggle is required by EU data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to inform you of the legal basis for our use of your data, which we have outlined below. Where consent is the legal basis, consent can be withdrawn at any time. You have the right to object to our use of your information when it is justified by legitimate interests. In the applicable sections of this Policy, we explain how you can withdraw consent or opt out of certain data uses.

Disclosure of your information
- With other Users. When you voluntarily disclose information on the service (including your public profile), you share it with other members. Please exercise caution with your information and ensure that the content you submit is appropriate for public. If you choose to restrict access to all or a portion of your profile, or to specific content or information about you, then it will be visible in accordance with your preferences. If someone submits a report about you (such as a claim that you violated our Terms of Service), we may inform the reporter of any actions we took in response.
- Service Providers. We employ reputable third parties to perform functions and render services on our behalf. We may share your personal information with these third parties, but only to perform these functions and provide these services. Prior to engaging a vendor or collaborating with a partner, we adhere to a rigorous screening procedure. Our suppliers and business partners must adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.
- With our Employees and Senior Management. We share your information with our employees and senior management on a need to know basis and strictly limited to the scope of their assistance. Their assistance may include technical processing operations such as data hosting and maintenance, customer service, marketing and targeted advertising, analytics, finance and accounting support, enhancing our service, securing our data and systems, and fighting spam, abuse, fraud, infringement, and other wrongdoing. Our employees must adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.
- Corporate Transaction/Change of Management. If we are involved in a merger, sale, acquisition, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy, or other change in ownership or control, we may convey your information.
- With law enforcement/when required by law. Your Rights and Choices under law
We want you to be in control of your information that you provide to us and therefore we want to remind you about your rights and choices available under law. Chapter 3- Rights of the Data Subject shall govern Users’ rights under this Policy.
- Right to Access/Know. You may have the right to request a copy of the information we keep about you, and in certain circumstances to receive this in a portable format. You can exercise your right to access directly within the service by putting in a request via email at Support@thewiggleapp.com
- Right to rectification. You may have the right to request the rectification or updation of any personal information that we have about you, which you believe is wrong or needs to be updated. Request for rectification may be addressed via email at Support@thewiggleapp.com.
- Right to request deletion. You may request that the information that we have on you is deleted. You can exercise your right to deletion by putting a request via email at Support@thewiggleapp.com.
- Right to restriction of processing. At any given point, you may exercise your right to request us to stop processing your information. You may exercise this right via email at Support@thewiggleapp.com. Please be advised that upon restricting the processing of your personal information we shall remain unable to provide you certain features/functionalities of our service.
- Right to request data portability. The right to data portability allows Users to obtain and reuse their personal data for their own purposes across different services. It allows them to move, copy or transfer personal data easily from one IT environment to another in a safe and secure way, without affecting its usability.
Service and Device Features
- Access/Update tools in the service. Tools and account settings can enable you to access, rectify or remove information that you provided to us and that’s associated with your account directly within the service. If you have any questions on those tools and settings, please contact our customer care team for help.
- Device permissions. Certain categories of device data and notifications, such as phone contacts, images, location services, push notifications, and advertising identifiers, can be protected by permission systems on mobile platforms. You can modify your device's settings to consent or object to the collection or processing of the corresponding information and the display of the corresponding notifications. Obviously, certain services may lose functionality if you do so.
- You can stop an app (including Wiggle App) from collecting information by uninstalling it using your device's standard procedure. Remember that removing an app from your device does NOT end your account. Please use the service's corresponding functionality to end your account.
- Account Closure. You can request the closure of your account by contacting us at Support@thewiggleapp.com
Profile Picture Requirement:
As a user of Wiggle, it is mandatory to upload a profile picture within 24 hours of creating your account. The profile picture should accurately represent you, and it must not include random objects, symbols, or fictitious characters.
Account Deletion Policy:
Failure to comply with the profile picture requirement within the specified timeframe may result in the deletion of your account. Wiggle reserves the right to take this action to maintain the quality of user interactions and community engagement within the app.
Importance of a Profile Picture:
Community Engagement: A profile picture enhances the sense of community and contributes to a more engaging user experience.
User Recognition:
It helps other users recognize and connect with each other more easily.
Personalization:
A profile picture adds a personal touch to user interactions within the app.
User Obligation:
Users are responsible for ensuring that their uploaded profile pictures adhere to the guidelines outlined in Wiggle's policies. Any violation may lead to account suspension or removal.
Appeals and Support:
Users have the right to appeal account actions related to the profile picture requirement. For assistance or inquiries, please contact our support team at wiggle@example.com.
Data Locations and Security Measures
Currently, Wiggle only operates in Sweden and therefore all your data is saved in secure servers based in Sweden. As we expand globally, we reserve our right to store User data in severs across different locations. Accordingly, we will update this Privacy Policy or add a supplemental one for a different region of our operations.
We ensure that the data is adequately protected by implementing valid legal mechanisms, such as EU-approved model clauses and stringent contractual requirements. However, data transmission over the internet is not entirely safe and may remain subject to breaches, despite our best efforts. In any case of data breach or server hack we will notify our Users immediately and in no more than 24 hours and will report to appropriate regulatory agencies for further action.
How long do we retain your information
We only retain your personal information for as long as we need it for legitimate business purposes or as required by law. If you no longer wish to use our services, you can terminate your account and your profile will be hidden from other members. Please note that we will terminate your account automatically after two years of inactivity. Following the closure of your account, we will delete your personal information.
No children allowed
Our services are restricted to those who are at least 18 years old. No one under the age of 18 is permitted on our platform. If you suspect that a member is under the age of 18, please use the service's reporting mechanism.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This policy may alter over time as we seek new and innovative ways to assist you in establishing meaningful connections and as we work to ensure that explanations of our data practices remain up to date. We will notify you prior to the implementation of any significant changes so that you have time to assess the modifications.
